If you’ve ever dreamt of living in the clouds amongst absolute beachfront, this could be the residence for you.

Did anyone see that? In a slow moving, glassy wave Queensland’s Gold Coast has become the new frontier of Australian luxury. Once home to a relentlessly cyclical property cycle, the boom and bust era is as faded as last year’s tan with property in the Goldie reaching for the sky, physically and metaphorically. Triplex penthouses and members’ clubs float atop new buildings; lavish upscale interiors, shiny super-yacht marinas, and aspirational hangouts dot the 40 kilometres of golden sand. Meanwhile, rooftop clubs, wet-edge pools, gated communities and subtropical gardens adorn the landscape in a style fit for royalty.
At the heart of the new movement is Jewel, AW Jewel’s billion-dollar development that now studs the shores of Surfers Paradise with three glimmering towers. Two of these residential towers link up with the palatial resort-style facilities of the six-star Langham Hotel.
Now, 10 years after breaking ground, a few lucky people can buy into The Diamond Collection Tower—a set of immaculately well organised and elegantly appointed Jewel private residences.
All Diamond Collection residences have access to The Langham’s facilities and concierge services. This includes in-house staff to greet residents and their visitors, accept parcels through the front doors and organise restaurant bookings or private chefs for dinner parties and events.
Residence 32703 is still available to purchase and occupies a prime position on level 27. The home covers a generous 239-square-metre floor plan and has an expansive 54 square metres of wraparound balcony.
Inside there are three generous bedrooms, two with their own luxury ensuites and one conveniently located next to the main bathroom. The layout offers a master suite that takes in dream views while the interior is immaculately appointed, with engineered timber floors throughout.
An open-plan layout is designed to make the most of the views. The generous dining and living area, enclosed by full-height glass walls, help to frame the trademark beachfront.
The kitchen is fit for gastronomes. It features Miele appliances, a gas cooktop and oven, a large range hood and microwave. The stone top island bench features a large double sink, Rogerseller tapware and a seamlessly integrated refrigerator and dishwasher. Timber veneer joinery runs the length of the wall and features a set of glass cabinets, for display.
To keep you cool or cosy the home also has ducted and zoned air conditioning and a Miele dryer and washing machine for when you don’t have time to send laundry out. Landscaped gardens, pools and amenities such as meeting rooms and hot desks are also incorporated, eliminating the need to venture far for relaxation or a quick meeting.
The Master bedroom mimics a 6-star hotel suite, with main ensuite featuring gorgeous stone tiling and a freestanding bathtub.
Downstairs it’s a summer fashion mood-board, primed for permanent vacation. Those lucky enough to live here have a host of fine dining restaurants on their doorstep. The very best include Palm Court known for its indulgent afternoon tea prepared by in-house chefs, and T’ang Court, the esteemed Gold Coast outpost honouring its Michelin-star sister restaurants with unrivalled authentic Cantonese dining. Did we mention the beach? Walk in either direction and you hit pure sand and sea.
At the end of the day, though, the Gold Coast is a casual affair. Just an elevator ride away are lots of lovely options for laid back, beat-the-heat entertaining. Relaxed modern Australia dining abounds at all-day outfit Akoya, while there’s also terrific coffee to be enjoyed at the Gold Coast’s hottest new coffee spot, 26 & Sunny.
When it all gets too much (or when the houseguests finally leave) consider sipping some signature cocktails in the lobby bar or swimming up to the pool bar to unwind. When it’s just you and your family, or a small group, you can book the open-air zone Coral Moon, where you can enjoy the summer evenings BBQ-ing with friends and family next to an outdoor gas fire pit.
Don’t miss the chance to live like you’re on holiday. The Diamond and Sapphire Collection Residences are now available to view by appointment via Total Property Group.
