F1 Legend Mika Häkkinen Designs A Luxury Electric Motorcycle
The electrifying collaboration sees the Formula 1 champion team up with Verge Motorcycles.
In an unexpected yet welcome collaboration, two-time Formula 1 champion Mika Häkkinen has teamed up with Verge Motorcycles to create a signature model new electric superbike.
The alignment between the Flying Finn and Verge Motorcycles began in earnest earlier this year with the former was appointed to company’s board. Häkkinen is also an investor in the Finish outfit.

“I know from experience what it takes to develop a vehicle that embodies speed, precision and elegance,” says Häkkinen of the collaboration. “I wanted to design the bike right down to the smallest detail rather than just picking the colour.”

Indeed, the luxury superbike represents the most advanced electric iteration on the market, with a range of 350km and a fast-charging time of just 35 minutes. Powered by the Verge TS Pro—Verge Motorcycles’ high-performance powertrain—the Mika Häkkinen Prestige Signature Edition Bike produces 102kW with a bonkers 1000 Nm of torque, allowing it to race from 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 200km/h.

Given the provenance of both players, the new machine takes on a distinctly Scandinavian aesthetic. Devoid of a hub, chains, and cogwheels, the superbike has a sleek, futuristic appearance that see carbon fibre fairings complemented by a scratch-proof ceramic surface treatment and leather finishes.

The moody colour palette of black, silver, and grey — coupled with the geometric angularity of the central components — make the Mika Häkkinen Prestige Signature Edition Bike an imposing presence on the road.
Adds Häkkinen: “This electric superbike represents the future of riding and is a testament to a life lived to the fullest!”
Limited to 100 examples, the Mika Häkkinen Prestige Signature Edition Bike is priced at approx. $130,000.
