This Sleek New Superyacht Concept Is Centred Around a 3.7-Metre Atrium
The 32.9-metre “Mobu” has a sense of scale and openness rarely found within a superyacht of this size.
BAZ Yacht Design wants you to enter the void.
The Turkish studio, founded by seafaring duo Bilge Zaptçıoğlu Atal and Barbaros Atal in 2014, has unveiled a new superyacht concept centred around a striking 3.7-metre-tall atrium designed to improve the guest experience.
“The aft atrium is not simply a dramatic feature; it organises how people gather, move between levels, and remain connected to the sea,” the Atals said in a statement. “This gave us the opportunity to create a performance yacht with a strong architectural identity and a very natural way of living onboard.”

Christened Mobu, the 32.9-metre is designed for indoor-outdoor living. The atrium runs from the aft cockpit to the main salon, creating a single architectural volume between the interior and exterior and the main and lower decks. That gives Mobu a sense of scale and openness rarely found within a superyacht of this size, the studio says.
The open-plan layout combines generous deck areas and wide terraces, resulting in a flowing feel throughout. The arrangement also means the vessel is fit for large gatherings, quiet days at anchor, and everything in between.

“With Mobu, we wanted the social experience to define the yacht from the inside out,” the Atals explain.
From the atrium, half-level transitions lead to the entertaining areas on the main deck and the accommodation on the lower deck. The yacht can sleep up to eight guests across one primary suite, one VIP, and two guest cabins. It can also sleep up to four crew.

Mobu packs quite a powerful punch, too. The yacht is imagined with four 1,000 hp Volvo Penta engines that could enable a cruising speed of 27 knots and a top speed of 32 knots, according to the studio. It also has a shallow beam of 1.4 metres, meaning it can navigate coastal areas, bays, and marinas that other, deeper-keeled boats can’t.
BAZ Yacht Design, which provides exterior and interior design services for custom and semi-custom new builds and refits, says Mobu 33 is just a concept at this stage but is available for further development with an owner and appointed shipyard. The studio is based in Marmaris, Turkey, but recently expanded into Europe with a new branch in Hamburg.
