The World’s Largest Sailing Yacht’s Maiden Voyage Is Set for 2026
Reservations for the Orient Express Corinthian will launch on March 25, 2025.
The world’s largest sailing yacht will be making some waves next summer.
The Orient Express Corinthian, the world’s largest sailing yacht, will take to the open sea in June 2026, cruising along the stunning French and Italian Rivieras.
Built through a visionary partnership between Accor and renowned French shipyard Chantiers de l’Atlantique, the Orient Express Corinthian blends stunning design with cutting-edge technology. At 220 metres (722 feet) long, it’s an engineering feat, and with three towering masts and 1,500 square metres (16,145 square feet) of rigid sails, the yacht is impossible to miss.
Altogether, the vessel will feature 54 luxurious cabins, with 48 suites spread across Decks 4, 5, and 6, plus six premium suites on Deck 7—each offering stunning panoramic sea views. Onboard, guests will enjoy five restaurants, including La Table de l’Orient Express helmed by Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno. There will also be eight bars, including a 1930s speakeasy and a Parisian-style cabaret hall inspired by iconic spots like the Moulin Rouge. For relaxation, there’s a swimming pool, a Guerlain spa, and a movie theater, plus an unexpected touch: a recording studio.
One of the Orient Express Corinthian’s most impressive features is its revolutionary SolidSail system. This game-changing technology uses three tilting, rotating masts that make the most of the wind, cutting down on fuel consumption and improving overall performance. It’s the first of its kind, setting a new standard in sailing efficiency. The Orient Express Corinthian also features a hybrid propulsion system powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), significantly reducing emissions compared to traditional marine fuels.
But sustainability doesn’t stop at the engines. The yacht is equipped with an AI-driven detection system that helps avoid collisions with marine mammals, plus dynamic positioning technology that removes the need for anchoring—protecting fragile seabeds in the process. “Inspired by the golden age of luxury travel, Orient Express Sailing Yachts reinvents motion and comfort on water while being designed to meet sustainability challenges of today and the future,” said Sébastien Bazin, chairman and CEO of Accor, in a press statement.
For those ready to experience the world’s largest sailing yacht, reservations open on March 25, 2025.
