IWC first launched its “Colours of Top Gun” collection in 2022, showcasing the brand’s watchmaking prowess in the way of colourful ceramics with models like the Lake Tahoe. Today, the brand expands this collection with two new colourways. The Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Top Gun Woodland is IWC’s first Timezoner to be rendered in coloured ceramic, and the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun Mojave Desert marks IWC’s first 41mm Pilot’s Chronograph with a sand-coloured ceramic case.
With each edition of IWC’s “Colours of Top Gun,” the brand works with Pantone to develop unique shades that represent the colour codes found in the world of naval aviation. We first saw the Woodland hue in IWC’s Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Top Gun last year. This colour draws inspiration from both the flight suits and uniforms worn by the pilots in the Top Gun flight school and the lush forests they fly over. Now, the stunning dark green shade beautifully accents the design language of the brand’s Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Top Gun. The monochromatic look extends from the dial and hands to the rubber strap, with each component meticulously colour-matched. Flip the watch over and you’ll find IWC’s in-house 82760 calibre, which uses a Pellaton winding system reinforced with ceramic components and offers a 60-hour power reserve.

Next up, the Mojave Desert edition of the brand’s iconic Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun marks the third colourway for the model following the crisp white Lake Tahoe version and Woodland iteration introduced last year. This hue is reminiscent of the desert landscape around China Lake, home to the U.S. Navy’s famous Top Gun flight school. The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun Mojave Desert adopts the same monochromatic look while housing the brand’s in-house 69380 chronograph calibre. This robust movement features a classic column-wheel design with 242 parts and offers IWC’s signature vertical dial layout.
Both variations of the new “Colours of Top Time” are available today. The Pilot’s Watch Timezoner Top Gun Woodland will set you back approx $27,600 while the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun Mojave Desert is priced at $18,700.
