There’s a chance you might not be familiar with the name Franck Muller. The esteemed high-watchmaking brand from Geneva has flown under the radar at times. But among watch enthusiasts (Cristiano Ronaldo, Floyd Mayweather and Arnold Schwarzenegger among them), the 33-year-old brand is lauded for its grand complications and avant-garde designs. Muller, after all, revolutionised the industry by concocting the very first tri-axial tourbillon.
Now, with a new flagship in Melbourne, Franck Muller invites fans to discover its intricate world of watchmaking up close and personal.

Re-establishing its presence in the growing Australia market makes sense for the company. Not surprisingly, Nicholas Rudaz, CEO of Franck Muller, even travelled from Geneva for the launch earlier this month to meet with key industry players and VIPs.
The 600-square-foot boutique, operated by established Singapore-based watch retailer Cortina Watch, is set within a coveted heritage building on the Paris-end of the Collins Street precinct.

How it earned its moniker as the ‘Master of Complications’ is a fantastic starting point for those new to the brand. All of the design feats and mechanical complications invented by Franck Muller and his team are designed and developed in several production sites in the Jura Arc, and finished at “Watchland”—the company’s manufacture located just outside of Geneva.
As the new Melbourne outpost illustrates, these intricate offerings are changing the perception of Franck Muller from insider favourite to universally regarded watchmaking legend.
