Penfolds’ Otherworldly Experiences Celebrate The Multi-Sensory Nature Of Wine
These immersive events extend the Penfolds world beyond taste — and you can be there.
Offering a unique way to immerse oneself in the world of wine, Penfolds is marking the release of The Penfolds Collection 2023 with a slate of thoughtful experiences.
Debuting last year, Venture Beyond by Penfolds returns to Sydney’s Carriageworks. The two-day event takes place across 18-19th August and offers an amalgamation of visual, culinary, and musical delights. Where last year saw the cavernous space transformed into a galactic world, this year Penfolds travels beneath the surface, diving into the depths of the sea while exploring the collection which spans multiple countries of origin.
The all-inclusive event will see guests treated to a bespoke menu curated by one of Australia’s most notable chefs and a performance from a world-renowned musical act. Naturally, there’ll be Penfolds all around.

The Australian wine house is also introducing Transcend by Penfolds, a reimagined wine tasting experience in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. The intimate experience will showcase key releases from The Penfolds Collection, spanning drops from the Australian, French, and Californian vineyards.

Each 90-minute experience will be guided by Steph Dutton, Penfolds Group Winemaker, against a backdrop of imagery designed to reflect a visual interpretation of each wine. A newly created Grange Palate Cleanser serves to refresh the palate ahead of tasting the house’s flagship Grange.

Designed by Scott Huggins, Magill Estate Restaurant Executive Chef, in collaboration with Penfolds Chief Winemaker Peter Gago, the interlude is an unexpected expression of Thienot x Penfolds Champagne Brut Rosé NV that readies the palette for the complex aromas and flavours that Grange is known for.
