Stella McCartney and Macallan Share a New Whisky Collection
Paul McCartney’s daughters have some meaningful memories of Scotland that they’d like to share.
The Macallan Harmony Collection’s past releases have focused on flavours that are both associated with and pair well with whisky: chocolate and coffee. For the brand-new third edition, however, the distillery has gone in a different direction and chosen to collaborate with Stella and Mary McCartney who are sharing their memories of Scotland through gustatory and visual means.

The new Macallan Harmony Collection consists of two different whiskies: Amber Meadow and Green Meadow, both matured in a combination of sherry casks and bourbon barrels. The packaging includes photographs taken of The Macallan Estate by photographer Mary McCartney, and the labels and boxes were made from cuttings from the meadows surrounding the distillery and other natural materials.

“The 100 percent natural summer evening color derived from our exceptional sherry seasoned oak and bourbon casks reflects the richness of the flavour which awaits,” said whisky maker Steven Bremner about these single malts. “On the nose, fresh citrus fruits and honeysuckle are complemented by hints of vanilla, coconut and ripe barley fields. On tasting, notes of oak, lemon, melon are prominent, accompanied by flavors of classic scone and almond with green tea, before giving way to a rich and sweet long finish.”

The new Collection is now available and a specially created pop-up experience in Sydney will run from 7-10 March to mark the collaboration.
For these focused events Macallan invites guests to enjoy an immersive experience sampling whisky drams and enjoying cocktails available for purchase at a custom Pop-Up Bar at Hickson Road Reserve, in The Rocks.

Purchase Amber Meadow (for around $400) from good wine stores and Green Meadow ($650) at The Macallan airport boutiques and speciality stores.
