HUBLOT

While some brands prefer to add subtleties and nuances to their releases, Hublot excels at disruption and unbridled creativity when it comes to its novelties, and this year’s reveal didn’t disappoint.
The Big Bang Unico received some modern updates, including a new colour—a vivid, polished orange ceramic. This is an area where the maison flourishes, creating colours that were once considered impossible to achieve on timepieces. The latest hues (available in a 42 mm size) are fashioned in an ultra-resilient ceramic that appears on the bezel, case and back.
Elsewhere, riffing on one of the most omnipresent colour themes, Hublot unveiled a stunning Big Bang MP-11 Water Blue Sapphire in a translucent glacier blue—a fresh colourway for Hublot’s catalogue. The MP-11 also features a sculptural seven-barrel movement with a mind-blowing two-week power reserve.
Also commanding attention were the new Classic Fusion Original and Classic Fusion models. Arguably Hublot’s most significant release—it shook up conventions in 1980 with its precious gold case and utilitarian rubber strap pairing—the Classic Fusion Original is now tailored for smaller wrists with a new 29 mm sizing in both yellow gold and titanium.
Hublot has also added Classic Fusion 29 mm watches to the mix, which honour the same design aesthetic of the Classic Fusion Original, but include decorative dials and the option to add diamond-encrusted bezels. The Classic Fusion Original in 29 mm will now sit alongside the 33 mm, 38 mm and 42 mm cases, and are perfect daily wears for those seeking a versatile timepiece.
Powering the new watches is the MHUB2915 quartz movement with a two-year battery life, which some may gripe about considering the $9,200 starting price.
