Watch of The Week: Zenith Defy Skyline Skeleton in Ceramic White
This new watch with a pristine white ceramic exterior is a first for the DEFY Skyline collection.
White trousers aren’t the only white thing in vogue for men of style this Summer. Along with formal shorts, all-white watches are popping up as a symbol of tailored beat-the-heat elegance.
Zenith has launched it’s first-ever Defy Skyline model in all white ceramic, offering a strong summer look to men who love the great outdoors.
Balancing the look is a contrast dial and skeleton movement in midnight blue, and here Zenith revisits the emblematic four-pointed star with a signature symmetrical elegance.
A successor to the very first Zenith Defy wristwatch launched in 1969, the Defy Skyline builds upon the shape of Defy Classic and merges past and present with strict architectural lines.
It is definitley a statement watch designed for true collectors and one that will appreciate over time.
A strong way to add panache to casual summer outfits worn for yachting or foil boarding, the Zenith Defy Skyline carries all the robust qualities you’d expect of a fine Swiss watch manufacturer.

With alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces, the scratch-resistant ceramic case and dodecagonal bezel offers a classy rendition of the all-occasions Defy silhouette. It’s a piece of practical jewellery and yet quite hefty on the wrist.
It has water-resistance up to 100 metres and carries the El Primero 3620 SK movement which has also been finished in Zenith’s signature blue tones to recall the night sky.
This watch comes on an integrated white ceramic bracelet, which echoes contours of the mixed brushed and polished finish. You also take home a spare white rubber strap, to make the most of the case’s ingenious quick strap-change mechanism, which requires no tools to operate.
This baby also features a power reserve of approximately 55 hours and is endowed with a stop-second mechanism for precise time-setting.

Skyline dial also features the world’s first and only constant 1/10th of a second running indicator, completing one rotation every 10 seconds and serving as a gentle reminder to make every moment count.
