The quintessential preppy New England style gets the Saville Row treatment.

Drake’s has collaborated with Sebago to put its signature Saville Row spin on the latter’s staple boat shoes. The Maine-based label’s Docksides style was instrumental in defining university style during the 20th century, with its influence spreading far further than its New England origins—donned by everyone from Paul Newman and John F. Kennedy to Ryan Reynolds and Pharrell Williams.
“The Docksides is the first shoe that I remember wearing to school, which played a significant role in shaping my view on clothing and style,” said Drake’s creative director Michael Hill. “I’ve always loved the silhouette and what it represents. It’s an honour to work with the team at Sebago on a version of our own.”
Showcasing the timeless versatility of the silhouette, the Sebago x Drake’s collaboration sees the Dockside shoes receive a contemporary makeover. Available in navy/white and white/red colourways, the collaboration sees Drake’s utilise paracord and leather laces which create a striking effect against white eyelets, as well as contrast hand-stitching on the uppers. The white/red iteration also features tonal green-and-white side tabs, that draw inspiration from the décor surrounding the exterior of Drake’s flagship stores.
“We specifically selected the leathers as I believe they will age beautifully with time and, hopefully, a bit of exposure to some sun and salt water,” explained Hill. “I didn’t want to mess with the magic too much, as it’s such a timeless style.”
