Eleni: Inside the $23.4 Million Superyacht Built for Life in the Mediterranean
A proven charter performer with the volume of a much larger vessel, the Italian-built yacht is now on the market through Australian brokerage The Superyacht People.
Eleni has spent the better part of two decades earning her keep in the Mediterranean. Now, for about $23.4 million, someone else gets to decide how hard she works.
The 49.9-metre yacht has come to market with Australian brokerage The Superyacht People appointed as central agent for the sale. Built by CBI Navi and delivered in 2005, Eleni combines the proportions and amenities expected of a contemporary 50-metre yacht with something harder to manufacture: a long and successful life on the Mediterranean charter circuit.

More compelling still is her size. At more than 660 gross tonnes, Eleni has the internal volume more commonly associated with a yacht approaching 60 metres. Or, as Bray puts it: “You get a lot more yacht for your money.”
That translates into six guest staterooms accommodating up to 12 guests, generous indoor and outdoor entertaining areas and a particularly expansive sundeck. A Jacuzzi provides the requisite place to do very little, while a proper gym with panoramic views makes a somewhat stronger case for doing something.
The yacht has also been extensively upgraded over the years, with improvements designed to keep her competitive in a charter market where guests increasingly expect the comforts and technology of much newer vessels.
For a prospective owner, Eleni’s established charter operation is more than an appealing line on the résumé. A successful charter yacht comes with an experienced crew and a maintenance regime shaped by constant use, while future charter income can help offset operational expenses. Bray says those returns can also be funnelled back into capital improvements, keeping the yacht performing—and presenting—at its best.
Buyers, meanwhile, are becoming more sophisticated about determining what they need before taking the plunge. Bray is seeing prospective owners spend more time chartering different sizes, styles and brands first, learning how they use a yacht rather than simply pursuing the biggest one within reach.

Eleni fits neatly into that equation. Her next owner steps into an established operation, complete with experienced crew and charter pedigree, while retaining the option to disappear aboard whenever the mood strikes.
The listing also gives The Superyacht People an opportunity to demonstrate its reach beyond Australia. The boutique brokerage has operated in yacht sales and charter for 25 years, with Bray favouring relationships that can begin with charter, progress to ownership, and continue through management, resale, and, inevitably, the next boat.
At just under 50 metres, Eleni is substantial enough to feel like a destination in her own right, yet established enough to earn her keep when her owner has somewhere else to be.
