Hublot’s latest timepiece strips the Big Bang down to its essentials
The iconic lines of the famed timepiece look striking thanks to the perfectly monochrome and satin-finished look of the new Big Bang Unico Essential Grey.
The watch’s satin finish extends from the titanium constructed case to the bezel, hands and dial, emphasising the industrial, raw nature of the design and highlighting the timepieces, inner workings.
At the heart of the Big Bang Unico Essential Grey is the manufacture HUB1280 calibre. Here, the column-wheel chronograph movement with a 72-hour power reserve sits within the 42mm case which the Swiss watchmaker says is suited to both men and women.
“For the first time in the history of Hublot, we have imagined and designed the Big Bang Unico Essential Grey limited edition solely to be sold online,” says Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO. “In doing so, we wanted to emphasise how important e-commerce has become in our thinking. All our fans, collectors and potential clients now have an equal chance to obtain this magnificent and rare new model.”
The accessibility of the timepiece is enhanced by the versatility of the two straps supplied in the presentation box. The first is a grey lined-rubber strap and the second comes with a Velcro fastening. Both easily interchangeable thanks to the manufacture’s patented one click system.
A limited 200 pieces of the Big Bang Unico Grey are being produced with the limited edition only available online at hublot.com for $29,200. Tick tock, time’s a-wasting.
