Diving In With Bell & Ross
Fur seals (thankfully) replaced influencers as we hit the water with the B&R’s latest Diver.

You know the water’s cold when it comes filled with a playful bob (yes, bob) of fur seals.
But we’re intrepid testers here at Robb Report – and so how else to, ahem, dive into the new B&R 03-92 Diver than by getting wet (and, granted, a little cold).
Drawing on a firm history in aviation and military, there shouldn’t be any great surprise that the contemporary French label has developed a new timepiece capable of conquering uncertain underwater conditions.
The alluring new 03-92 Diver – in matte black, thanks – elevates that which the company is known for, namely a suite of founding principles framed by functionality, precision, legibility and reliability.
Ceramic, found in products such as thermal shields and aerospace rocket noses, was the material of choice in the pursuit of producing this pioneering and functional new piece – one that does more than just look damn
attractive on the wrist.
Developed as a reinterpretation of the original BR 01, the BR 03-92 features a 42mm square case and circular unidirectional bezel – a firm B&R design touch – with sapphire crystal encasing a dial of numerals and indices that illuminate in low-light conditions.
Adding to the district appeal to divers is a water-resistance measure of 300m. While we didn’t make it down quite that far, we we did put the piece through its paces on a recent dive trip south of Sydney.
Cue those seals – and a day in which we fell deeply for the latest member of the B&R family.
