The Fullerton Hotel Opens In Sydney
The Singaporean brand brings its five-star service to the historic GPO site
The Fullerton Hotel Sydney has opened its doors to the public, with the Singaporean hotel group taking up residence in the former General Post Office (GPO) building at No.1 Martin Place.
The opening of the Sydney property marks Fullerton’s first international outpost – following the brand’s long-standing success in Singapore with the historic Fullerton Hotel Singapore and Fullerton Bay Hotel both award-winning luxury properties.
“We encourage our guests to embark on memorable journeys that are deeper, more colourful and more rewarding when they stay in our one-of-a-kind, landmark luxury hotels with prime addresses that are destinations unto themselves,” says Cavaliere Giovanni Viterale, General Manager of The Fullerton Hotels and Resorts.
Fullerton’s new commitment to the historic Sydney site has meant a lavish refurbishment, including a refresh of the historic façade that included 38,000-hours of labour by expert stonemasons and artists.
“We are committed to conserving the Sydney GPO building for the enjoyment of generations to come; and the heritage façade remediation programme is just the first step in a multi-phase revitalisation programme to be continued following the opening.”
Inside the 416-room property, expect a tablet-led digital concierge service – which, beyond access to all hotel features, also means an ability to indulge a late-night Fullerton Burger delivered via room-service.
Given the ties to south-east Asia, also expect Singaporean flavours in flagship restaurant ‘The Place’, as well as a luxurious afternoon tea at ‘The Bar’.
