Magic moccasins: Tod’s Denim loafers

Discover why these shoes have been dubbed ‘gloves for your feet’.

By Nick Scott 15/04/2018

The whole raison d’etre of Tod’s signature driving moccasins are that they go the extra mile, comfort-wise. They shroud, caress and hug the appendages their job is merely to protect: hence Diego Della Valle – the President and CEO of the Italian leather goods company – referring to them as “gloves for the feet”.

Their other key selling point, of course, is the air of casual sophistication they inject into virtually any ensemble. This seasonal take on the Gommino in distressed denim (£380/AU$697, features exposed handmade stitching, Tod’s Double T metal branded clamp and those now iconic rubber pebbles on the sole.
