
Land Rover’s Biggest Defender Is Coming

Mark it in your calendars. On May 31, Land Rover is unveiling the new, brute, Defender 130.
Set to join the short wheelbase Defender 90 and the standard wheelbase 110, the Land Rover 130 is the biggest Defender in the range with a rumourd length of 5.1-metres and will feature three rows of seating, comprising of eight seats total.
Leaked sketches suggest the new Land Rover will have a longer boot than its siblings to make up for the loss of space incurred by the third row of seats.
Further, the order books too will open on June 1 for this ‘premium explorer’ which indicates it will challenge the bigger German SUV’s including the Audi Q7 and BMW X7 when pricing is revealed.
On the power front, several engines are rumoured with a protype spotted sported a 3.0-litre mild-hybrid straight-six petrol engine while another version was spied with a quad-exit exhausts suggesting a 5.0-litre V8 for the range topper.
