The altered timeline of the Olympic games – thanks to Covid – has meant that the 2020 Olympics will be held this year (aware it’s 2021), or more specifically, 100 days from today.
And while it’s ‘better late than never’ for the games, as the official timekeeper, OMEGA’s latest Seamaster Diver 300M Tokyo 2020 couldn’t come soon enough.
Here, the 42mm case is crafted in stainless steel and mounted with a blue ceramic bezel ring, filled with a white enamel diving scale. Further, stainless steel is also used for the polished-brushed bracelet that is seamlessly integrated with the case.
Complementing the blue tones is a polished white ceramic dial where the watery theme is accentuated by laser-engraved waves. Elsewhere, a date window and the famous ‘Seamaster’ is highlighted in red while blued hands and indexes complete the dial design.
The sapphire crystal case reveals a Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games emblem, while behind the glass sits OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 – which has been officially certified to gold medal standards and is water-resistant to 300-metres.
Each model in the collection is presented on a stainless steel bracelet and delivered inside its own Olympic Games presentation box.
Tokyo 2020 will mark the 29th time OMEGA has fulfilled its role as official timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932.
The countdown is on.
