Saint Laurent has opened its first flagship boutique in Australia, choosing Melbourne for the outpost.
Located in the newly completed 80 Collins street precinct in the centre of Melbourne, the 431sqm store offers a complete vision of the famed maison across a wide selection of women’s and men’s collections including ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, sunglasses and jewellery.
Taking cues from the French modernist movement of the early 20th century, floors and walls arrive in white statuario marble, structures in nickel-plated brass, extra clear glass, black silk marble, concrete benches with smooth leather and suspending hanging rails all reflect the timeless sophistication of the label.
Elsewhere, the boutique sees a lift to the private dressing salon – located on the 3rd floor – is set up with vintage furniture and is surrounded by a concrete wall.
