For those who have it all, homes often function as a manifestation of their wildest dreams, complete with over-the-top amenities and state-of-the-art facilities. The following properties are no exception. From an epic bubble-shaped compound in France to a lavish Moroccan palace inspired by the Alhambra, here are 10 fantasy homes for those already living the dream.

$505 Million Bubble Palace in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France

Built between 1975 and 1989 and designed by architect Antti Lovag, the Bubble Palace was inspired by humanity’s earliest cave dwellings. The unique, approximately 13,000-square-foot mansion includes a lounge, a reception room, and 10 suites. Outside, the grounds showcase a 500-seat outdoor auditorium and swimming pool overlooking the sea. Long an iconic destination for the Hollywood set, the Bubble Palace has hosted a slew of parties and events, including a special MTV James Bond 40th birthday party.

$315 Million Spec Home in Los Angeles, California

The newest masterpiece from luxury developer Bruce Makowsky is a $250 million spec home located at 924 Bel Air Road in Los Angeles. Distinguished as the most expensive home listed for sale in the United States, the abode also features the most advanced home tech system in the nation.

The 38,000-square-foot new-construction home includes two master suites, 10 oversized VIP guest suites, 21 bathrooms, three gourmet kitchens, an 85-foot infinity swimming pool, a 40-seat theatre, and a sprawling auto gallery populated with a collection of cars valued at more than $30 million. There’s even a massive wall of assorted candy to further sweeten the deal.

$250 Million Home in Los Angeles, California

Designed by James Langenheim & Associates, The Manor sits on 4.7 acres of land and — at 56,500 square feet — is larger than the White House. (Not surprisingly, it’s also the largest residence in Los Angeles.) Built in 1988, the French-chateau-style domicile was originally constructed for entertainment royalty Aaron and Candy Spelling.

The main residence’s most recent renovations took place in 2011 and gave the home a more sleek and contemporary style. Equipped with 14 bedrooms, 27 bathrooms, a swimming pool, a tennis court, and manicured gardens, the property is one of the most luxurious listings in the world.

$220 Million Home in Darien, Connecticut

Great Island, a 63-acre waterfront property on Long Island Sound, features a land bridge that connects to the mainland. The estate has served as the ultimate private compound since it was built at the turn of the century, with amenities such as world-class equestrian facilities (including a polo practice field), a private beach, and a secluded harbour with a dock and boat house. In addition to the main residence, which offers water views in all directions, the estate is outfitted with a beach house, a caretaker’s house, cottages, and a greenhouse.

$117 Million Palace in Casablanca, Morocco

Situated in an exclusive part of Casablanca, Park d’Anfa is a posh palace that blends traditional Moroccan architecture with contemporary decor. The 3.2-acre property sits close to the ocean and treats owners to magical views of the sea. Inside, lavish features include Carrara marble columns, Baccarat crystal light fixtures, Chinese tapestries, engraved and carved cedar ceilings, and Murano glass chandeliers. The ornate, approximately 160,000-square-foot dwelling includes a whopping 24 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms — making it the perfect place to entertain.

$110 Million Mansion in Los Angeles, California

Situated on nearly three acres in the upscale Holmby Hills neighborhood, Maison Du Soleil is a sophisticated mansion that has stood the test of time. Architect Paul Williams designed the structure in the 1930s, and its classic style continues to make the dapper dwelling a draw decades later. The 30,000-square-foot compound is made up of 17 bedrooms, 22 bathrooms, a 6000-square-foot movie theatre, and a wealth of other amenities. Outside, an enormous swimming pool surrounded by sunbeds and lounge chairs create a resort-like environment.

$107 Million Ranch in Rancho Santa Fe, California

A home on the range never looked so good. Situated in Rancho Santa Fe (around half an hour from San Diego), Del Dios Ranch is a 210-acre countryside estate. Surrounded by 40 acres of Valencia orange groves, the serene property showcases a lake, tennis court, and equestrian facilities including a six-stall barn.

Crafted from redwood, glass, and marble, the two-story main residence is a timeless treasure. Though every inch of the 8000-square-foot home is immaculate, the indoor swimming pool — housed in a soaring redwood-and-glass room — is particularly noteworthy.

$68 Million Palace in Marrakech, Morocco

It took 1300 craftsmen three full years to create this Andalusian-themed masterpiece in Marrakech, which was modeled after the Alhambra. The eight-bedroom home is equipped with 25 rooms on three separate levels, as well as an outdoor kitchen and hammam. Mosaics and carefully carved cedar ceilings are featured throughout, giving the home an ornate, awe-inspiring feel. The property also features a rose garden, lakes, marble fountains, palm trees, a cactus garden, and a bamboo forest.

$70 Million Home in Kilauea, Hawaii

Situated on a pristine beach, Hale ‘Ae Kai is the most expensive residence currently on the market in Hawaii. Comprising four pavilions, the oceanfront main house boasts over 10,000 square feet of living space. Spread across more than 1100 square feet, the expansive master pavilion includes a bedroom, living area, and bar. Outside, luxurious lanais await alongside an infinity pool and hot tub.

$62 Million Home in Macau, China

Nestled atop Penha Hill, Estrada da Penha is a colonial-style villa inspired by Portuguese architecture. As one of less than 30 detached homes in Macau, the high-end home offers a level of privacy rarely found in the area.

Spread across more than 12,000 square feet, the home features six bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and a sheltered car porch that can accommodate up to four cars. The property’s true draw, though, are its stunning waterfront views.
