Elevated Design Meets Waterfront living at Darling Harbour
Darling Harbour is developing into Sydney’s hottest new waterfront neighbourhood as Harbourside Residences by Mirvac continues to take shape.
The 48-level tower designed by Snohetta and Hassell, in collaboration with Mirvac’s in-house design team, will be home to 260 apartments featuring luxury interiors curated by Bates Smart.
When stage one was released in late 2024, the offering sold out in one weekend, accumulating more than $700 million in pre-sales. An overwhelming majority of first-release buyers were prior Mirvac purchasers, according to the developer.
The next chapter
Hot off the press, a new release of apartments is set to launch in the landmark location with a collection of three- and four-bedroom residences available on the upper floors of the tower. The elevated homes have been crafted to showcase enviable harbour and city views, while featuring expansive layouts with alfresco areas and high-end finishes. A backdrop highlighting the best that Sydney has to offer will capture the lights of the CBD, the Anzac Bridge and sunsets over the Blue Mountains. Inspired by the unique Australian landscape, the interior palettes at Harbourside Residences reference both land and sea, incorporating natural stone elements in the contemporary kitchens and bathrooms, plus custom timber floors and tactile textiles.

Wellbeing in focus
Cementing the project as a destination development, Harbourside Residences will also house an entire floor of resident-only resort amenities. In addition to a lagoon-style infinity pool with neighbouring cabanas and postcard harbour views, homeowners can enjoy landscaped gardens and walking paths. Indoor amenities will include a gym, yoga and pilates studio, lap pool, spa, steam room, ice bath and sauna. Residents can also access a private lounge for grand scale entertaining, a cinema, a dining room with a gourmet kitchen, plus a golf simulator. A convenient 24-hour concierge will be on hand for residents’ everyday needs, as well as a secure porte cochere entry from Darling Dr, Pyrmont.

Outside the box
Beyond the apartments, Mirvac’s $2 billion Harbourside precinct revitalisation promises to reshape the already Darling Harbour waterfront, which is currently undergoing a $15 billion overall makeover. Once completed in 2027, there will be more than 10,000sq m of public open space to share, featuring a 3,500sq m waterfront park, a new promenade, and improved pedestrian connections to Pyrmont and the city. The project will also bring diverse retail and dining offerings to the neighbourhood, comprising an international food market, along with $7 million invested in public art and activation planned to deliver an enlivened precinct. A once in a lifetime opportunity to buy a home above the harbour in an iconic Sydney location, the Darling Harbour development will allow residents to tap into the city’s popular theatres, restaurants and nightlife, while also being in close proximity to employment and transport hubs.
