Bowers & Wilkins’ Signature Series

Lavish updates made to the audiophile’s 700 series speakers.

Bowers and Wilkins is elevating some of its most popular speakers, giving the 702 and 705 the ‘Signature’ treatment – which in layman’s terms means upgraded components and improved finishes.

The British based manufacturer first introduced the studio inspired 700 series in 2017, featuring a top-mounted tweeter made from a solid block of aluminium, continuum cone drivers, and aerofoil profile bass drivers.

Building on this impressive foundation, the upgraded 702 floorstand and 705 standmount boast upgraded bypass capacitors sourced from German audio-engineers Mundorf, a larger heatsink and upgraded LF capacitor on the bass section of the crossover in the 702 for refined listening.

The newly achieved Signature status also means ebony coloured veneers with a stunningly distinctive grain, sustainably sourced from Italian wood specialists Alpi.

Available in July, from $5800.
