Aston Martin’s motorsport division is celebrating one of its most successful periods with the release of the Vantage Legacy Collection, an exclusive trio of race-spec Vantage models available for purchase as a complete package.
Using the previous Vantage – launched in 2005 – as the base, three cars finished to the specific standards of three racing classes are on offer in which the Vantage has achieved success between 2009 and 2018.
The British marque’s CV reads well, with wins at Le Mans in ’14 and ’17, seven FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) titles and an array of victories across British GT, GT World Challenge and European Le Mans Series.
Each vehicle arrives in Aston Martin Racing’s green and yellow livery and are built ready to race.
The Legacy GT4 uses the standard car’s 4.7 litre V8 with a lightweight exhaust, twin-fill fuel tank and upgraded gearbox and clutch. Inside, an FIA approved roll cage and plastic side and rear windows further race readiness. A quick-release bonnet – ideal for pit stops – adjustable dampers and a single Recaro racing seat rounds out the offering.
Elsewhere, the V12 Vantage GT3 packs (you guessed it) a larger 6.0-litre V12 that produces 447kW. Combined with a lightweight aluminium chassis, racing clutch and carbon fibre propshaft, racing performance is assured. Strap yourself in via the six-point racing harness and experience the GT3 levels of downforce courtesy of the carbon fibre panels and adjustable, full-width rear spoiler.
Finally, the Vantage Legacy GTE – which honours the WEC’s most successful race car – becomes just the seventh GTE-spec car to be built.
And while Aston Martin hasn’t revealed a price for the ultra-exclusive package – expect the collection to drive deep into the seven figures.
