The 1010 Timekeeper is the perfect combination of luxury watchmaking with Haute Ecriture
Inspired by the innovative, yet classic combination of Haute Ecriture and luxury watchmaking, the 1010 Timekeeper is a limited edition offering from Caran d’Ache.
The luxury Swiss-based design house is known for creating timeless pieces since its inception in 1915. Ten years on from its first offering of the combination of time with words, with the 1010 Chrono limited edition, the Genevian artisans have created the 1010 Timekeeper. Available as either a fountain pen or a roller pen, the product creates the perfect marriage those who crave discreet design coupled with timeless luxury.
The 1010 Timekeeper is elegant in design, with an 18-carat-gold, rhodium plated pen nib that is delicately engraved with the 1010 hands. The nib is both hand- designed and polished, to maximise comfort for the writer.
The elements of a watch dial are reflected in the design of the body of the pen with Roman numerals indicating the turning of time. The pen also features steel hands, which have been coloured blue with heat treatment, that appear to turn on their axis. One end of the steel hands is coloured red, which is a perfect but simple reminder of the colours of Caran d’Ache.
Inside, a ruby sets the piston pump. The pen comes with a black lacquered box, along with two silver and rhodium plated caps engraved with ‘1 in 500 pieces’.
This limited edition pen is going to be released in mid-May, with 500 of both the fountain pen and roller pen set to be available.
