Veuve Clicquot in the Snow Returns to New Zealand
Returning to Queenstown this August, Clicquot in the Snow is set to transform the adventure capital into a fizzing alpine utopia.
The festival, which began in Aspen in 2007 brings new meaning to the words ‘champagne powder’ with a series of Veuve Clicquot themed events across the snow-capped mountains and greater city.
In and around Queenstown, the festival will offer a number of chic experiences designed to celebrate fine champagne, delicious food and the skiing season. They’ll be easy enough to spot with event hotspots adorning themselves in the iconic Clicquot yellow throughout August.
The festival takes aim at the adventurous spirit of Queenstown, tying together the thrills of the snow season with a flute of champagne in hand. Take a husky sledding experience through the high trails of the southern alps, stargaze with a gondola ride to Bob’s Peak high above Queenstown or ski down the mountain to an après at Coronet Peak, all imbued with their own Veuve twist.
“Queenstown continues to deliver the best Clicquot in the Snow experience worldwide with incredible local cuisine and alpine adventures. We are looking forward to painting Queenstown yellow again in 2019,” says Juliet McInnes, Veuve Clicquot Senior Brand Manager.
On the dining front, celebrity chef Josh Emett will bring the Clicquot Long Lunch series to Rata Restaurant or you can head along to Queenstown’s ultimate lakeside dining destination Wakatipu Grill throughout the month and choose from one of their three champagne paired menu options.
