Crown Towers Perth
Joining the ranks of Australia’s most expensive hotel suites, the Chairman’s Villa at the Crown Towers Perth boasts exceptional views of Western Australia’s capital city. Mandarin Oriental Shanghai
Taking up the majority of the Mandarin Oriental Shanghai’s 25th floor, the Presidential Suite has its own amenities: a wine cellar, a kitchen, and two private roof gardens. The suite’s crown jewel, however, is a nearly 50-square-metre bathroom complete with a marble bathtub overlooking the bustling metropolis. Here, guests can wash away the city’s grime while enjoying the bustling streets and impressive, glittering buildings from a sky-high perch.
Ponta dos Ganchos Resort
The open-plan Esmeralda Bungalow at the Ponta dos Ganchos Resort, a Leading Hotel of the World on Brazil’s Emerald Coast, boasts expansive views of the Atlantic. After a day of snorkeling, stand-up paddleboarding, or just lounging on the beach, the garapeira-wood spa bathroom invites guests to relax in a sauna and whirlpool bath, both of which look out onto the blue ocean dotted with rocky islands.
Sable Alley
Newly opened in the heart of Khwai Private Reserve in Botswana, there are endless sights to see at Sable Alley. Sitting on the banks of a lagoon with uninterrupted views of the resident wildlife and surrounding bush, the camp has 12 luxury safari tents raised on decks, with a choice of an indoor or outdoor shower and bath. After a long day on safari, adventurous bathers can wash the dust off under the African sky as they watch the wildlife from their tub or just take in the raw environment of the bush.
Signiel Seoul
Opened in the spring of 2017, Korean hotel brand Lotte Hotels & Resorts’ new flagship Signiel Seoul, a Leading Hotel of the World, is perched on the 76th to 101st floors of World Tower, the fifth-tallest high-rise in the world. The suites have views for miles, and the best place to take it all in is from their marble bathtubs, which are surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. Perhaps not for those with a fear of heights, the top-floor suites offer premium bedding and personalised pillows as well as sophisticated living areas accented with modern furniture designed to complement the skyline.
Six Senses Zil Pasyon
It’s hard to have a bad view in Seychelles, and the one from the bathtub of the one-bedroom Pool Villas at the Six Senses Zil Pasyon is no exception. Located on Félicité — a private island where massive granite rocks and white-sand beaches mingle to create a magnificent setting — the resort’s 30 villas open onto decks with private infinity pools overlooking the Indian Ocean. After a soak, guests can rinse off in a private outdoor shower surrounded by jungle plants.
Mandarin Oriental Paris
The Royale Mandarin Suite at the Mandarin Oriental Paris includes a terrace, spacious living room, dining room, kitchen, bar, study, and private gym as well as a huge bedroom. The most impressive space of all, however, is the bathroom, which features gold cabochons on the floor, a steam room, and a jaw-dropping bathtub with unobstructed views of the Eiffel Tower. It doesn’t get any more Parisian than that.
Southern Ocean Lodge
The Southern Ocean Lodge on Australia’s Kangaroo Island is perched on limestone cliffs that look out over the Southern Ocean. The luxury lodge has been thoughtfully designed to float atop the untouched dramatic coastline, so it offers spectacular ocean and wilderness views as well as a unique fusion of nature and luxury. Of the 21 suites, the Osprey Pavilion affords the most eye-popping views — even from the bathroom. In addition to heated limestone floors and a deluxe rain shower, the bathroom has a hand-sculpted granite tub that stands alone in front of a floor-to-ceiling window looking out over the island’s pristine wilderness.
The Oberoi Amarvilas
With wall-to-wall windows and views of the majestic Taj Mahal from every room, the Kohinoor Suite at the Oberoi Amarvilas takes full advantage of its proximity to the iconic monument. And there’s no need to lose the view when in the bathtub: The standalone tub sits directly in front of a window overlooking the building’s iconic domed roofline. There is also a glass-paneled rain shower, which opens onto a private terrace where guests can relax on sun loungers to continue soaking in the views of the Taj.
The Peninsula Hong Kong
The palatial bathroom in the Peninsula Suite, situated on the top floor of the flagship Peninsula Hong Kong, offers a sumptuous marble bathtub for two featuring views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong skyline. The luxurious suite’s double-height living room with floor-to-ceiling windows and exclusive landscaped terrace are other ideal — if less romantic — spots to take in the scenery.
The Tryall Club
There’s a reason why one of the Tryall Club’s many villas is named Point of View: Its master bathroom captures the beauty of Jamaica with mesmerising views of the jungle that can be seen from the deep soaking tub. Here, guests can bathe in complete serenity while overlooking the lush valley below. For an even more immersive experience, the walls surrounding the tub can be folded back to let the air in, allowing bathers to feel as if they are atop the jungle. With 10 villa staff, guests can have their bath drawn to their taste and have a curated selection of products displayed, allowing them to disregard the mundane and put their focus on the stunning tropical views outside.
