It’s important to find time to catch up in the run home to Christmas – which is why we recently held an intimate gathering with Tag Heuer.
The exclusive soiree saw about 50 key friends of both brands make their way to the central Sydney boutique – greeted by a collective sense of excitement alongside canapés and welcoming (read: alcoholic) refreshments.
An onsite watchmaker proved a hit – engaging the attentive and clearly passionate horological gathering with personal demonstrations and insights.
Tag Heuer’s marketing manager Megan Taylor then handed the microphone to Robb Report editor-in-chief chief Richard Clune – the latter leading the crowd on a journey through the history and maintained legacy of the venerable Swiss house founded in 1860.
More drinks may have flowed, and canapés – the prawn a standout – been consumed as Clune meandered into the holy grail that is the tourbillon and the game-changing ways of Tag Heuer’s Carrera Heuer 02-T tourbillon.
Further discussions were framed by motorsport, McQueen and Monaco (the model as opposed to principality) – all highlights of a brand that’s always been driven by technological prowess, precision timekeeping and avant-garde design.
