Australia’s Ultimate Boutique Garage

The Bend’s New Pit Lane Garage launches with an absolute weapon – and it could be yours.

By Robb Report 22/09/2020

Saturday evening saw The Bend Motorsport Park launch its exclusive boutique for exotic road and race vehicle, Pit Lane Garage, and the offer to own an exceptionally rare and utterly bonkers McLaren Senna GTR.

In front of a considered gathering of enthusiasts and notable motoring types, Pit Lane Garage unveiled one of only three examples of the Senna GTR currently in the southern hemisphere – and one of only 75 available globally.

Adding to its incredible allure and exclusivity, the covers came off showing the iconic livery of the McLaren MP4/4 formula one car, as piloted by the supercar’s namesake and former Brazilian F1 legend, Ayrton Senna.

“From our Rydges Pit Lane Hotel, to the longest permanent circuit in the world outside the Nürburgring, Pit Lane Garage adds another premium experience to our offerings here at The Bend,” said Yasser Shahin, director of The Bend.

“We are in an incredible position to offer an experience to people that can range from just seeing these cars in the metal, cars they would not see anywhere else in Australia, to driving them on track for the full experience.”

Available to purchase, the McLaren Senna GTR produces 607kW and offers more than 1000kg of downforce on a 340km/h top speed. Built with blistering lap times in mind, the track only supercar launches from 0-100km/h in 2.5 seconds and includes formula one inspired DRS (drag reduction system) and rear wing that doubles as an air brake.
