BMW Drives New Local Collaboration With Sullivans Cove

Of course, don’t directly mix the two.

The luxury sector’s cup overflows with collaborations – though the coming together of two of our favourite brands, BMW and bespoke Australian whisky distillery Sullivans Cove, is one we can happily drink in.

The award-winning Tasmanian outfit and acclaimed German automotive marque have paired up to craft a unique whisky inspired by Bimmer’s new flagship model and made available exclusively to new 8-series owners.

The blend is said to be a marriage of carefully selected casks that range from ten to fifteen years – the drop celebrating the time taken to create, craft and savour.

“BMW’s collaboration with Sullivans Cove truly captures the essence of time and the powerful presence of the new 8 Series,” states Tony Sesto, BMW Australia’s General Manager of Marketing. “We are absolutely delighted to share this special experience with 8 Series owners.”

Yes, but what does it taste like? Expect ripe cherries, dark chocolate and a late arrival of herbal, earthy tones on a woody nose. Also expect to sample such on parting with the necessary $225,000 (plus options) that will deliver the four wheels (and much more) of the sumptuous, multi-skilled Germanic GT.
