Echo Brickell Penthouse (Miami)
Set to open its doors at the end of the year in Miami's Brickell neighbourhood, the Echo Brickell high-rise will be home to 180 residences. Occupying the top two floors is the elaborate 975-square-metre Carlos Ott Penthouse, which features floor-to-ceiling glass walls with views of the ocean and downtown Miami.
The buyer will consult with award-winning Uruguayan architect Carlos Ott to define design elements including flooring, finishes, and fixtures.
The ultramodern penthouse includes four spacious bedrooms, 7.5-bathrooms, and his-and-her closets designed for extensive wardrobes. A 9-metre indoor lap pool with a hot tub overlooks Biscayne Bay, and sliding glass doors lead outside to the 327-square-metre terrace and fireplace. An expansive gym and rooftop garden allow athletes and loungers alike to indulge.
Modernity is apparent in the glass staircase, private elevator, glass-encased 500-bottle wine cellar, and 4.2 metre ceilings. The kitchen is equipped with Sub-Zero appliances, and a wet bar in the master bedroom allows for entertaining at any hour.
Exclusive services include 24/7 valet parking, personalised concierge service, in-home food and beverage services, and a fully automated parking system. 20 East End Avenue Penthouse (New York City)
Manhattan's Upper East Side is a playground of sophistication and affluence, and at 20 East End Avenue architect Robert A.M. Stern has designed a bespoke property that showcases luxury at the highest level.
With 560-square-metres of interior space — and an additional 422 square metres of outdoor space — Penthouse A is a five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom residence complete with a living room, family room, formal dining area, library, and magnificent rooftop terrace.
Views of the East River and Manhattan's skyline can be seen from all corners of the penthouse, including the master suite which has a sublime master bath dressed entirely in white Caldia Classico marble.
The chef's kitchen will inspire many gastronomic creations with its natural Brazilian quartzite countertops, Lefroy Brooks hardware, millwork cabinetry, and Gaggenau appliances. High ceilings, custom mouldings, solid Appalachian oak herringbone flooring, and a vast array of windows combine to produce a fresh and airy residence.
Residents of 20 East End Avenue will have access to a variety of building amenities such as a spa, fitness centre, and billiards room. Penthouse A is currently listed at $US35 million (about $A46.2 million). (20eastend.com) - Bekah Berge
Beau House Penthouse (London)
Located in the historic St. James district, the Beau House offers easy access to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and a slew of other London staples.
The building's two-story Brummel Penthouse spans approximately 280 square metres, with an additional 93 square metres of outdoor space found on the rooftop terrace. Created by design studio Oliver Burns, the interiors incorporate soothing hues of navy blue, metallic, and grey.
Custom chandeliers, marble and crystal pendant lights, stained oak herringbone floors, and oak panels add elegance to the posh pied-à-terre. Graphite grey oak cabinets, Gaggenau appliances, a marble island, and a wine cooler solidify the kitchen's status as a culinary hub. The master suite includes a dressing room and a bathroom with a marble shower and countertops.
Outside, the tree-lined terrace is equipped with everything from an outdoor kitchen and six-person dining table to a television and fire pit. Equal parts charming and chic, the classically British abode is on the market for around $US19 million (about $A25 million). (beauhouselondon.com) - Rebekah Bell

Outfitted with Miele appliances, the open-concept kitchen and living space lead outside to a rooftop pool and a one-bedroom guesthouse with a full kitchen, bar, and living room. A separate four-car garage allows residents to easily stow exotic cars.
Building amenities include an infinity-edge pool, an indoor golf simulator, and a fitness centre with a yoga room.
