Fleetwood Sound Co. Launches Debut Speaker

The DeVille is in the details.

By Terry Christodoulou 06/07/2020

Big sound and bold colours encapsulate Fleetwood Sound Co.’s debut speaker, the DeVille.

A new division of ostentatious hi-fi outfit Oswalds Mill Audio – renowned for its intricately crafted speakers and horns – Fleetwood Sound Co. presents an approachable introduction to the Pennsylvania U.S. based manufacturer.

The DeVille – championed as the ‘the last loudspeakers you’ll ever need’ – boasts a new solid wood conical horn of Pennsylvania sourced ash hardwood and concert hall quality transistors promising to be the most efficiently powerful speaker available at its size of just 60cm tall.

The DeVille - Fleetwood Sound Co.

The conical horn is comprised of six inches of solid wood with a proprietary phase plug which disperses high frequencies smoothly. Much like parent company Oswalds Mill Audio, the horn boasts a hand rubbed beeswax and a natural linseed oil finish.

The DeVille is also highly customisable with a range of finishes including antiqued leather, Japanese indigo-dyed denim and an extensive range of colours from English paint supplier Farrow and Ball to suit your needs.
