Louis Vuitton has released its latest offering - The Vuitton New Runner
The Vuitton New Runner, or VNR, is atypical of the elegant and classical design the Parisian fashion house is known for – combining passionate and meticulous detailing with full functionality.
The VNR is the product of twelve months of research, planning, and design. The end result revealing a sneaker that is both light and flexible, while also being stylish and contemporary.
Each shoe takes three hours of assemblage due to the multiple yarns used to give it its depth and intrigue. Elastic has also been embedded in the shoe adding to its luxurious comfortability.
Wearers will find the knit of the shoe wrapping around their feet for sock-like comfort and also experience a weightlessness with the upper-part of the sneaker weighing a miniscule 60 grams.
The highly resistant outsole is made from three separate pieces that have been carefully assembled by hand. Textile scratch tape and leather heel details along with a gradient hand-painted sole - a technique usually limited to the car industry – combine modernity with sophistication.
This season's palette comprises a denim blue, space grey, pure white and bold black and are priced at AUD$1,610.
