Brisbane last night showed its increasing luxury cred – unveiling the city’s new, and lifestyle focused, Rolls-Royce showroom.
More than 125 guests attended the lavish Newstead soiree – each eager to experience this slice of heightened British (ok, Indian) sophistication, a marque that arguably does more to stir the spirit than most.
It was certainly the case on entering the opulent Black Badge Cullinan and a first-hand experience of the extended wheelbase Phantom’s privacy suite – a must for, well, private business meetings. This was a debut local outing for both models – further proof of the importance of the growing Brisbane market and a point furthered by both Rolls-Royce Global Client Sales Manager, Ian Grant, alongside Paul Harris, Asia Pacific Regional Director.
“We regard Brisbane as a new luxury destination hotspot that has become an increasingly attractive residence for our customers,” said Harris. “It now competes with some of the world’s wealthiest cities as a most desirable place to live and work. With this new lifestyle-themed facility, and a highly contemporary and appealing range of Rolls-Royce models like Phantom, Cullinan, Wraith, Dawn and our Black Badge range, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Brisbane is well-poised to tap the growing demand for super-luxury goods.”
A receptive local audience nodded their collective agreement between sips of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut or a rather curious blue Negroni, washing down an exquisite menu from chef Josue Lopez of Wolfe Restaurant and his delivery of lobster rolls, fresh oysters with champagne snow, Lancashire hot pot ‘lollipop’, duck truffle waffles and a festive mango eton mess – not bad for a Wednesday eve.
A pop up from Paspaley provided some strong Christmas ideas, with unique musical performances by DJ duo Midnight Tango and the wonderful OperaQ.
