With the tagline “beyond the ordinary”, Numarine has pitched its 78 Hardtop Evolution model to “non-conformist” owners looking for the works: eye-catching profile, palatial surrounds and stirring performance.
Originally built in 2010 for Numarine company founder and CEO Ömer Malaz, this example, Minella, is a 78-foot (23.4m) motor yacht with distinctive hull finished in Porsche Ice Green Metallic and simply bursting with options. The gorgeous craft, at $5.3 million delivered, has been bought by an Australian owner and after a few months cruising the Med, will be Sydney-bound for the summer.
Being originally the boss’s boat, Minella was lavishly specced with a commercial galley below decks, extra refrigeration, a mini galley at cockpit level with large fridge and icemaker for ease of entertaining, and a massive foredeck area with sunpads, plus seating and dining table shaded by a retractable cover.
Her new owners “dared to be different” in choosing Minella, having been lured to the relatively new Numarine marque (q7marine.com.au) by its design emphasis on internal volume and the 78HT’s generous deck space. Added to that is the value for money that the Turkish yard offers, fabricating in-house the hulls, interiors, furniture, upholstery, glazing, timberwork and stainless steel.
Minella is light, bright and airy onboard. The large aft deck is shaded by an electric awning and flows seamlessly into the saloon through sliding doors. Inside, full-wall glazing and a ceiling that is half-electric sunroof help to maximise the on-water experience by opening up the view.
Below deck, accessed by central staircase, are the four cabins – each boasting an en suite – a fully equipped chef’s kitchen, and crew quarters.
With twin MAN V12 engines, Minella can achieve a top speed of 38 knots and a cruising speed of around 25 knots. The vessel also comes with the ‘Silent Package’, a smart energy management system that allows AC and entertainment to run while at anchor, and Seakeeper gyros for stability and comfort.
